SVAY RIENG, CAMBODIA – January 12th, 2026 – On January 12th, 2026, the opening ceremony of Wanli Tire's Cambodia Base (Phase I) was grandly held at the Xin Bavet Special Economic Zone in Svay Rieng Province, Cambodia. This project is the company’s model overseas manufacturing base and represents a substantial breakthrough in Wanli Tire’s global expansion strategy. It is also a landmark project for Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holdings Group (GIIHG) as it enters China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026–2030).
The opening ceremony attracted wide attention from partners and government officials from both China and Cambodia. Distinguished attendees included: H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia; H.E. Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC); Sor Sodany, Deputy Governor of Svay Rieng Province; Jing Guangjun, Chairman of Guangzhou Industry Investment Holdings Group Co., Ltd.; Hu Yongfang, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Wanli Tire Co., Ltd.. Together with distinguished guests from various sectors, they witnessed this milestone in China-Cambodia industrial cooperation and a significant step in bringing advanced Chinese tire manufacturing to the global market.
Joining Hands for a Grand Undertaking and Collaborative Milestone in Overseas Intelligent Manufacturing
In his congratulatory speech, H.E. Sun Chanthol noted that Wanli Tire's establishment of its first overseas production base in Cambodia signifies not only a key breakthrough in the company's internationalization strategy, but also reflects the deepening of economic and trade ties between the two nations. He reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to fostering a favorable business environment and providing comprehensive support for international enterprises operating in the country.
H.E. Sun Chanthol emphasized Wanli Tire’s potential role as a catalyst, encouraging more high-quality Chinese companies to invest in Cambodia and jointly explore new avenues for bilateral economic cooperation.
Mr. Jing Guangjun highlighted Cambodia Base is the first overseas intelligent manufacturing facility incubated within GIIHG and an important step in the Group’s global footprint. He said the project also reflects the commitment to high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and closer industrial collaboration between China and Cambodia.
As a Fortune Global 500 enterprise, GIIHG will continue to fully support the development of Wanli Tire with a "Global Vision, Local Roots" philosophy. The Group will build the base into key pillar of its 100-billion RMB auto parts industrial cluster by introducing the latest technologies and green standards while deepening localized operations and ESG practices through technology transfer, talent development and industrial upgrading. Mr. Hu Yongfang stated that Phase I opening ceremony is a defining moment in the Wanli Tire’s globalization strategy. He extended sincere gratitude to GIIHG for its robust support as a world-class platform, to H.E. Sun Chanthol and the Government of Cambodia for their steadfast commitment to a premium business climate, and to Svay Rieng Province for its invaluable assistance during the construction phase.
This base, which broke ground in January 2025, achieved its first high-performance tire roll-off in just 288 days, setting a new industry benchmark for overseas project execution, and swiftly reaching mass production for export. With its efficient annual production capacity of 12 million semi-steel radial tires and a strategic location offering access to Southeast Asia and global markets, the base will complement Wanli Tire’s domestic facilities. This synergy will enable faster order response, more resilient supply chain security, and enhanced product and service quality for global customers. Wanli Tire will take the Cambodia Base as a fulcrum to deepen its global layout, while actively integrating into local development in Cambodia, fulfilling social responsibilities, and striving to be a bond and model for China-Cambodia friendly cooperation.

As an important part of GIIHG's overseas strategic layout and Wanli Tire's first overseas production base for global deployment, the inauguration of the Cambodia Base is of milestone strategic significance, providing solid capacity backing and operational assurance for Wanli Tire's worldwide expansion. Construction of Phase II is now underway, with opening anticipated in the first half of 2026. Through a deeply localized operation strategy, leveraging local resources and talents, the base will actively build a global supply chain system with strong resilience and efficient response.
